Horseshoe Bay Resort, Texas Horseshoe Bay, Texas � June 12, 2007 � Horseshoe Bay Resort today announced the appointment of Glenn Lee as director of golf. Lee�s responsibilities include managing overall golf operations at the resort for the three existing Robert Trent Jones, Sr. golf courses, Apple Rock, Ram Rock and Slick Rock, as well as the future Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, Summit Rock. He will also oversee all practice areas, golf pro shops and Whitewater Putting Course, the 18-hole, par 72 Dwarf Bermuda Grass putting facility. Lee�s focus will be on member and guest services at all golf facilities throughout the resort. Lee began his career at Texas Instruments in 1983 as a manufacturing engineer. His career move into the golf industry occurred in 1985 when he accepted the assistant golf professional position at Pecan Hollow in Plano, Texas. In 1988, Lee moved to the exclusive Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, Texas, where he served as assistant golf professional and teaching professional working under the 1996 PGA Golf Professional of the Year Randy Smith. During his time at Royal Oaks Country Club, Lee focused on offering quality golf instruction, acquiring new members and increasing merchandise sales. Glenn Lee moved to Austin, Texas in 1995 and joined the team at The Hills of Lakeway as director of golf and clubhouse manager. The Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course received the prestigious rating of the �3rd Best Course in the State� by the Dallas Morning News Golf Texas edition in 1999. In 1999, ClubCorp, Inc. purchased The Hills of Lakeway, where Lee remained for several months before accepting the director of golf and regional merchandising specialist positions with neighboring ClubCorp, Inc. property, River Place Country Club. Lee accepted the challenge of converting the daily fee facility to a private country club and, through establishing golf programs for private membership, including junior-level programs, Lee contributed to selling more than 280 memberships during the first year. As regional merchandising specialist, Lee also negotiated national merchandise contracts and assisted in the creation of �open to buy� programs for all golf facilities. In 2002, ClubCorp, Inc. asked Lee to return to The Hills Country Club to open a second 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus, II. Lee accepted the positions of director of golf for The Hills Country Club and regional director of golf for ClubCorp, presiding over Texas-based Lakeway Golf Club, Lost Creek Golf Club, Wildflower Country Club, Fair Oaks Country Club and Barton Creek Resort & Spa. Lee supervised more than 70 employee partners, led The Hills Country Club to be recognized as one of the top five ClupCorp properties with regard to retention and member survey ratings and hosted the nationally-televised PGA Champions Tour and FedEx Kinko�s Classic. Glenn Lee studied business administration at Stephen F. Austin University and San Antonio College. He maintains a connection to the community through serving as a board member for the First Tee of Greater Austin as well as volunteering for the Dell Children�s Medical Center in Austin. Lee was also recently elected secretary for the Southern Texas PGA.
