Revealed in Inaugural TTG and Euromonitor Study |

- IT&CM April 24, 2007 – SHANGHAI: Following a six-month long research
period from September 2006 to March 2007, TTG and Euromonitor International
revealed the results of the inaugural China Top 10 ranking. This
first-ever China-wide research aims to rank the country’s top performing
travel and tourism organisations in a bid to identify major players in
the Chinese travel and tourism market.
The China Top 10 study covered five categories: Hotel Chains, Airlines, Travel Retail Companies, Tourist Attractions and Tourist Destinations. Companies ranked among the top 10 revealed at Incentive Travel & Conventions Meetings China 2007 (IT&CM China) on 23 April during the opening ceremony and welcome reception at Le Meridien She Shan Shanghai. TTG Asia Media managing director, Mr Darren Ng, said: "The rankings will help current and potential investors gain a clearer picture of China’s dynamic and fast-growing travel and tourism industry, and to identify the major industry players of the industry." Euromonitor International, the official market information provider in this study, used a comprehensive multiple-source approach. Over 50 sources, which included a wide range of official data, local trade press information and interviews with players from all areas of the industry, were utilised to track the revenue of major players in key sectors.
