As New General Manager
THE REGENT SINGAPORE, 11 April 2007 Martin Sinclair will join The Regent Singapore, a Four Seasons Hotel, as the new General Manager on 16 April 2007.

Martin brings more than two decades of global hospitality expertise to The Regent Singapore.  He will arrive from Nevis, West Indies, where he was most recently General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Nevis, one of the most consistently ranked top Caribbean resorts.  In 2006, during Martin's tenure there, the Nevis Resort was ranked the #1 Resort and Hotel in the Caribbean, respectively, by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure magazines.  These are among the most trusted travel media sources in North America.

Martin's career began in 1984 at The Regent Sydney, and was followed by a stint from 1987 at The Regent Auckland, where he was Front Office Manager.  From New Zealand, he joined the opening team of Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay in 1992 as Director of Rooms, and was then promoted to Executive Assistant Manager in 1994.  From Bali, Martin moved to the Americas in 1995, holding the Director of Rooms position at both Four Seasons Chicago hotels.  In 1999, Martin managed Four Seasons inaugural Residence Club in Southern California, and three years later moved to Nevis as Resort Manager, becoming the General Manager in 2004.

A native New Zealander, Martin is looking forward to his return to the Asia Pacific region. He will be joined in Singapore by his wife Victoria and their two children Sophie and Caroline.
