MIAMI BEACH, Fla., April 19, 2007 - Karil Silman was appointed
Director of Sales and Marketing at the 236-room award-winning South Beach
Marriott. The 11-year hospitality veteran was formerly the Director
of Sales and Marketing for the JW Marriott Caracas, Venezuela and holds
a B.S. Degree in Hospitality Management from Universidad Autonoma de Centro
America in San Jose, Costa Rica. "Karil brings a wealth of industry
expertise to this vibrant marketplace and I'm proud to welcome him to our
team," stated General Manager Peggy Buena. "He will be instrumental in
guiding us through future expansion plans, which will include our new pool
