DALLAS (April 16, 2007) — Pegasus Solutions’ independent travel Web site, www.hotelbook.com, has launched a “Top Tens” feature to ease the online travel booking experience and provide vacation inspiration for travelers by narrowing down hotel choices into categories such as “Golf,” “Casino,” and “Honeymoon” hotels. 

Each list displays the properties’ name, location, star rating, basic pricing information, and links to the hotels’ individual pages and photography on hotelbook.com. The “Top Tens” also offers category descriptions, and each features an in-depth overview of one property from the list, according to Wendy Chamier, senior director of eCommerce for Pegasus.  

“With all of the hotel shopping options available online, it can be difficult to find the right accommodations,” said Chamier. “To help online shoppers break through to those unique hotels that are found on hotelbook.com, we’re introducing the top ten lists to ease the shopping experience, provide some inspiration and showcase our customers’ favorite hotels from around the world.”
 
To date, hotelbook.com has compiled “Top Tens” pages including:

  • Boutique – Unique properties full of charm and character
  • Beach – Luxury resorts near the sand and surf
  • Spa – Resorts for relaxing the body and soul
  • Ireland – Beautiful hotels across the Emerald Isle
  • Casino – Hot-spots for the best gaming and world-class entertainment
  • Honeymoon – Romantic spaces in unique places
  • European Cities – Luxurious properties across the continent
  • Golf – Unparalleled hospitality on the greens
 New “Top Tens” will be introduced on hotelbook.com each month and will be selected from the site’s database of nearly 5,000 independent hotels in 144 different countries and 1,800 cities. All hotelbook.com hotels are represented through Pegasus’ Utell® Hotels & Resorts and Unirez by Pegasus™  representation services. Additionally, hotelbook.com includes a selection of properties from Pegasus’ private label hotels. The site is promoted as The Official Site of Independent Hotels™, asking travelers to “Stay Independent.”
