Stanford Hotels Corporation Completes $25 million
Renovation at the Hilton Charlotte Center City

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 23, 2007) A Center City landmark will thrust itself to the forefront of Charlotte hospitality this spring when the Hilton Charlotte Center City unveils its $25 million total hotel transformation. Completely refurbished to accommodate the 21st century business traveler, the Hilton Charlotte Center Citys sleek new guest rooms, suites, banquet space, restaurant and lounge will set a new standard for comfort, service and advanced technology for hotel accommodations in the Southeast.

The Hilton Charlotte Center City is owned and operated by Stanford Hotel Corporation.  Stanford Hotels Corporation specializes in the development, ownership and management of high quality, full-service hotels using a variety of franchise brands. From its corporate offices in San Francisco, Stanford Hotels owns and manages 13 properties with 4,048 guest rooms spanning six time zones throughout the U.S. comprised of three top global brands including Hilton, Marriott and Sheraton.

Even the most technologically-savvy traveler will be in awe of the new guest rooms. The centerpiece of each room is a 42 plasma screen television equipped with wireless Bluetooth technology and a revolutionary, state-of-the-art GuestLink system. This allows travelers to link their laptop computers, game station consoles, digital video/camera, portable DVD players directly to the new 42 plasma screen, as well as listen to their Mp3 audio on the TVs surround-sound speakers. The mission control type set-up makes every room a virtual business and entertainment center and allows guests to provide their own preferred content, which will transform the way guests will spend time in their rooms.

In general, hotel rooms havent kept pace with the business traveler of today. Weve taken technology people are using every day and integrated it into a multi-media lodging experience that will make our guests more comfortable and productive, said Greg Greenawalt, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hilton Charlotte Center City.

The renovated rooms arent all business, however. They are also a welcome respite for road-weary travelers seeking much-needed relaxation. New world-class amenities including marble-tiled showers with glass doors, Hiltons fabulous Suite Dream beds and Crabtree & Evelyn La Source bath accessories all make the guest experience something to remember.

In addition to the hotels guest room renovations, the hotel has stunningly redecorated all its 30,000 square feet of conference and banquet space and is launching a stylish new concept and design for the restaurant and lounge with a chic cosmopolitan atmosphere that will specialize in Southern regional and Carolina coastal cuisine.
