Product Development to Present at HTNG 2007

Shawn McGowan to participate in thought leadership program addressing
the successes and challenges of service-oriented architecture

Portsmouth, NH - March 5, 2007 —  Newmarket International, Inc., the leader in sales and catering solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced that Shawn McGowan, Vice President of Product Development, will be speaking at the upcoming Hotel Technology Next Generation 2007 Members’  Meeting & Conference (HTNG) in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. McGowan will be speaking on the progression of ASP to Software as a Service (SaaS) and the impact of service-oriented architecture (SOA). 

HTNG is a nonprofit organization with global scope, formed in 2002 to facilitate the development of next-generation, customer-centric technologies to better meet the needs of the global hotel community. This year’s conference, open only to members, will cover service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Software as a Service (SaaS) and how these technologies are changing the way many technologists and businesses think about complex systems that need to work together. The program is designed to get beyond the hype and will include seven thought-provoking sessions on SOA/SaaS with industry-leading speakers. 

Who: Shawn McGowan, Vice President of Product Development, Newmarket International, Inc. 

What: Mr. McGowan will present a unique and experience-based view on the progression of subscription software through four levels of maturity, exploring the key differences in architecture and approach that have removed customer barriers and created compelling economic models for both buyers and suppliers.

When: March 5-7, 2007. Mr. McGowan’s presentation will take place on Wednesday, March 7 from 2:10pm-3:10pm  in the Capitol Ballroom.
