Woodlands (Houston), Texas, March 2007 - Benchmark Hospitality International
has announced the appointment of Chris Steffich as director of food &
beverage for Stonewall Resort, located in Roanoke, West Virginia.
Floyd R. Hunter, Jr., Benchmark's general manager at the resort, made the
announcement.
"It gives me great pleasure to announce Chris' appointment," said Mr. Hunter. "He brings a solid record of success to his new role and we look forward to his active leadership of the food & beverage department at Stonewall Resort." Chris Steffich comes to his new position with a history of success in establishing innovative programs, spotting food & beverage trends, and implementing a culinary program that consistently delivers high ratings among customers. In his previous position as assistant director of food and beverage at Benchmark's Eaglewood Resort, he was instrumental in developing new standards for all areas of the department, along with supporting training curricula. While holding fast on costs, he and the department actively grew revenues and launched new products in the restaurant and catering. One of the signs of a leader is being respected and admired by fellow team members. On Associate Opinion Surveys, Mr. Steffich received scores of 92 percent and above for each year he served as assistant director of food & beverage. Steffich's first position with Benchmark Hospitality was as night manager for Stonewall Resort, and so his new appointment returns him to West Virginia. He originally began his hospitality career as team leader for ESPN Zone Restaurants of Washington, DC. Mr. Steffich attended West Virginia University at Morgantown and Fairmont State University of Fairmont, West Virginia. He and his family reside in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
