Continued growth and activity in the lodging industry kept Gettys busy this year, with a diverse portfolio of projects including luxury and boutique properties, mixed-use developments, resorts, and branded hotels.  The Irvine office will focus on serving clients and projects on the west coast and Hawaii, and will bring additional resources to the firm�s clients across the country.

California and the western US seaboard represent a strong market for the lodging industry; in early 2006, California�s lodging market outperformed the overall US market.  During the fall months, California actually saw growth in occupancy while the rest of the country�s rates began to dip slightly.   Hawaii saw more than 13% increases in both ADR and RevPar during 2006 as well.
