2007 - Gerhard F.H. Kropp has been recently appointed as President of Philippine
Hoteliers, Inc. (PHI), which is the owning company of Dusit Hotel Nikko
Manila, and as Regional Vice President of Dusit Hotels & Resorts.
A German national, Mr Kropp has over 30 years� experience in the hospitality industry, his distinguished career spanning association with various international hotels chains, including Hyatt, Six Continents, InterContinental, and The Fullerton Singapore. Immediately prior to joining Dusit, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Meritus Hotels & Resorts. As President, he will oversee and take charge of PHI and supervise the ongoing major renovation and repositioning of the hotel, as well as be responsible for the overall operations� success of Dusit Hotel Nikko Manila. As Regional Vice President, Kropp will also handle and spearhead the development of new business opportunities for Dusit Group in the Philippines, as well as other countries in the region for all brands in the group, including spa business expansion and hospitality educational establishments. Dusit Thani PLC currently comprises three hotel product brands: Dusit Hotels & Resorts, Royal Princess Hotels & Resorts, and the newly launched Dusit brand extension, D2hotel, which opens in Chiang Mai. It also operates its own signature Devarana Spa. Dusit offers 9 deluxe accommodations in major destinations throughout Thailand, and its overseas portfolio includes the Philippines, the U.A.E. and Myanmar. Royal Princess Hotels & Resorts, established in 1989, serves the rapidly growing need for first-class, moderately priced accommodation. The nine hotels are located in primary and secondary destinations throughout Thailand. |
