  Manuel DeMoya Named Director of Food and Beverage
at Wild Dunes Resort in South Carolina
Isle of Palms, SC � Oct. 13, 2007 � Mark Hickey, senior vice president of operations for Destination Hotels & Resorts, announced the company has hired Manuel DeMoya as director of food and beverage at Wild Dunes Resort. DeMoya has more than 10 years experience in the food and beverage sector of the hospitality industry. 

In his new role, DeMoya will oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations of Wild Dunes Resort including the Resort�s four restaurants along with the newly opened 10,000-square-foot Sweetgrass Pavilion meeting and event facility.

�Manuel is an excellent addition to the Wild Dunes Resort team,� said Resort Vice President and Managing Director Terri A. Haack. �As Wild Dunes continues to expand its food and beverage offerings, Manuel�s experience will enhance our members, guests and local patrons dining experience while maintaining an efficient team of culinary and service professionals.�

Prior to Wild Dunes, DeMoya served as director of food and beverage for Cheeca Lodge & Spa Resort in Islamorada, Fla., where he oversaw three restaurants, a beach bar, as well as banquet and room service operations. 

DeMoya is fluent in English and Spanish and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Intec in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
