SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., Dec. 8, 2006 - Windsor Hospitality
Group has recently appointed a new general manager at their Embassy Suites
San Luis Obispo and this one needs no introduction. Tim Billing has been
part of the WHG team for nearly 11 years and has been back at this property
for two and change. However nothing about his leadership or his mission
is old hat. In fact, it is all quite refreshing.
"I want to express our continued devotion to the community ...embracing that which we already do, but recommitting ourselves to being the area's finest full-service hotel," says Billing. And they have a plan, he explains. "The entire team and I have devised some benchmarks to pass in this endeavor and the community will really start to see the fruits of that effort over the next six months and beyond." As a native of Southeast England, near Brighton he specifies, he arrived in the US in 1995 presuming "hotels were the illuminated sign over the roadway where you stopped." His perspective changed quickly and in 1996, WHG hired him at this San Luis Obispo property. The company then transitioned him to both of their Phoenix-area properties before bringing him back to their Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo in Spring 2004 as Director of Sales. About Windsor Hospitality Group -- Windsor Hospitality Group is the hotel division of Windsor Capital Group, Inc., the California-based commercial real estate acquisition, development and management firm. With Windsor Management Services, their recently-launched corporate division dedicated to third-party management contracts, and WHG's acquisitions, the Windsor portfolio will expand in the coming months.
