Rebranding Completed for the 250 room Doubletree
Hotel Syracuse, Formerly a Wyndham

SYRACUSE, N.Y., December 6, 2006 – Doubletree Hotels welcomes a new addition to its portfolio in Upstate New York with the opening of the Doubletree Hotel Syracuse.  Situated just minutes from downtown Syracuse, Syracuse Hancock International Airport and adjacent to the New York State Thruway, this upscale, full-service hotel is making the finishing touches on a  multi-million-dollar renovation project to reinvigorate guest rooms, meeting space, dining facilities and much more.

The owners of the former Wyndham hotel entered into a franchise license agreement with Doubletree Hotel Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation, to operate the hotel as a Doubletree.

“We are proud that the new Doubletree Hotel Syracuse represents the first upscale, full-service hotel within the Hilton Family of Hotels to enter the Greater Syracuse market,” said Dave Horton, senior vice president – brand management for Doubletree Hotels.  “The addition of the Doubletree Hotel Syracuse is an example of our strategic development commitment to continue growing the Doubletree hotel collection in key cities and towns throughout the New York State and across the United States and Canada.”

“Our multi-million-dollar hotel makeover will truly establish the Doubletree Hotel Syracuse as one of the premier upscale hotel choices in the Greater Syracuse area,” said Doug Snavely, hotel general manager.

The 250 well-appointed guest rooms and suites at the Doubletree Hotel Syracuse have been transformed with a variety of design upgrades and homelike comforts including the brand’s signature Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree sleep experience.  This luxurious night’s sleep includes a plentiful amount of pillows, a luxurious linen package of a down-filled duvet wrapped in triple sheeting and a specially designed plush-top mattress and box spring system that helps ensure a great night’s sleep.  Guest bathrooms have been dramatically redesigned to include upgraded lighting, new vanities with granite counters, framed mirrors and a curved shower rod that allows for 20% more space in the shower.

Conveniences for business travelers include large workspaces with outlets at desk height; award-winning Herman Miller® Aeron® ergonomic desk chairs; high-speed Internet access; cordless, dual-line phones; and virtual in-room printing services in every guestroom.  Wireless high-speed Internet access is available in public areas, along with a business center for those last-minute needs.
The 4,800-square-foot ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel Syracuse can accommodate special occasions and events of up to 500 with ease.  The 14 flexible meeting rooms in the hotel’s collection of more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space is retrofitted with the latest in audiovisual technology, thereby making the Doubletree Hotel Syracuse ideal for seminars, executive meetings and training sessions.

The Doubletree Hotel Syracuse provides business and leisure travelers with a year-round, indoor recreational area, including a whirlpool, swimming pool, and fitness room.  Dining options include breakfast items, specialty coffees, succulent seafood, steaks and chops at the Regatta Bar & Grille.  Room service is available during peak dining hours.

The Doubletree is located off of Carrier Circle on State Route 298 at 6301 State Route 298, East Syracuse, NY 13057, with easy access from Interstate 90 at exit 35.
