Hotels & Resorts today announced the promotion of Oscar Serrano to
Senior Director of Sales & Marketing for North America, and Fernando
Ortiz to Sales Manager for the Southeast, U.S. Previously Serrano
served as the Commercial Director for North America and Ortiz was the Assistant
Commercial Director for North America. Both Serrano and Ortiz
are headquartered in Miami, FL.
The promotions were announced by Jaime Buxo, the Managing Director of Sales & Marketing for Barceló Hotels & Resorts. The appointments are part of the ongoing expansion of the Barceló Sales & Marketing team throughout North America that coincides with the continued growth of Barceló�s all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. The company now offers 32 upscale resorts throughout Latin America. �Both Oscar and Fernando have been integral to Barceló�s growth in the Americas and the Caribbean over the past 10 years,� said Buxo. �They have done an excellent job in assembling our sales team while helping to grow our market presence and expand our brand awareness for our all-inclusive resorts,� added Buxo. Serrano joined Barceló Hotels & Resorts in 1995, and Ortiz joined the Company in 1993. Both served in various management positions with the Company.
