Tokyo, Japan 11, December 2006) Solare Hotels &
Resorts Co. Ltd. plans to begin construction in December 2006 of the Chisun
Inn Tosu, a roadside-type hotel in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture, and Chisun
Inn Kagoshima in Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The hotels are scheduled
to open in July 2007 and May 2008, respectively, as part of Solares ambitious
plan to operate 18,000 hotel rooms throughout Japan by 2010. The two properties
will be the first newly-built Solare hotels in Kyushu, and join Solares
existing portfolio of Kyushu hotels in Hakata, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Kumamoto,
and Hitoyoshi.
Chisun Inn Tosu, a roadside-type hotel, will be located in Yayoi-ga-oka, Tosu City, about 1.4 km northeast of Tosu Junction, where the Kyushu, Nagasaki, and Oita Expressways intersect. Tosu City benefits from its convenient access to major cities in Kyushu and is home to many factories and business establishments. In addition to an increase in business travelers in recent years, Tosu Citys own J2-League soccer team and V-League volleyball team attract many sports fans to the stadium. Additionally, the Tosu Premium Shopping Outlet has boosted both domestic and international visitors to the City. Chisun Inn Kagoshima will be located in Temmonkan, the busiest business
and shopping area in Kagoshima, on popular Izuro Street. Similar to other
Chisun Inns, the construction and style of Chisun Inn Kagoshima is that
of a smart economy hotel designed to provide corporate travelers and
leisure travelers with a relaxing atmosphere, functional facilities and
efficient service.
Solare Hotels & Resorts CEO A.G. Virili said; We are delighted to announce Solares expansion into Kyushu with the construction of the new Chisan Inn Tosu and Chisun Inn Kagoshima in excellent locations. Solare plans to continue its expansion throughout Japan, offering guests ease of access and comfort during their business and travels. About Solare Hotels & Resorts Co. Ltd.
