Resort & Residences in the Turks & Caicos Islands
Seven Stars is Tecton’s second condo-hotel property in its
boutique hotel portfolio and third property in the Caribbean
MIAMI, Sept. 18, 2006 – Tecton Hospitality™, announced today that it has signed a contract to manage the Seven Stars Luxury Resort & Residences on Grace Bay in Providenciales in the Turks & Caicos Islands in the Caribbean. The five-star luxury resort is scheduled to open in February 2008. The property, which is currently under construction, is the second condo property to be managed by Tecton’s boutique hotel division Desires and its third property in the Caribbean.
Seven Stars is being developed by Sodalco Development
Company Ltd. under the leadership of Jak Civre, the president. Once
completed, the resort will consist of seven luxurious residential buildings.
It will feature a spa and fitness center, two tennis courts, an oceanfront
pool, an upscale Italian restaurant, a clubhouse with a business center
and a private beachfront dock and pier.

market and managing properties in the Caribbean, this venture was a natural
progression for us,” said Doug Carrillo, vice president of sales and marketing
for Tecton Hospitality. “We look forward to the opportunity to provide
future guests with an environment that offers the luxury and experience
of a resort, but at the same time, a place where they can call home.”

The Desires portfolio currently includes the award-winning 93-room Sagamore Hotel, the 66-room Wave Hotel, the 83-room Circa 39, the 40-room Hotel Astor, the 61-room Betsy Ross Hotel and the 87-room condo hotel The Strand Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, Fla., the award-winning 84-room San Juan Water & Beach Club Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the 110-room Glenn Hotel in Atlanta, Ga., and the soon to be open 235-room Hotel Mela in New York City, NY.
The Miami-based company also operates franchise hotels, including full-service properties and resorts under the Sheraton, Marriott, Hampton Inn, Choice and Holiday Inn brands.
