with Help from SensibleRez
September 6, 2006 - The Aquarius Hotels Group, with properties in London, Hertford and Letchworth, recently increased the yield of on-line reservations coming from their own website, by installing the SensibleRez web booking engine from Sensible IT.
Unlike many other web booking engines, SensibleRez does not take any commission from the business generated from the hotels’ own website. The hotel therefore retains all of the room revenue delivered by SensibleRez.
In addition, Aquarius Hotels have implemented the Preferred Partner Module from SensibleRez, which allows their corporate customers to make reservations at their contracted rate.
“The ability for our corporate customers to make on-line reservations at their negotiated rate has been warmly welcomed by our major accounts.” Says John McEwan, Group Operations Manager for Aquarius Hotels. “The savings that we have made in not having to pay commission on our on-line bookings, means that the SensibleRez system is much more cost-effective than most of the alternatives.”
“SensibleRez is now installed in many hotels around the country, ranging in size from 18 rooms through to several hundred rooms.” Said John Palmer, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sensible IT Ltd. “Our business model is really appreciated by the independent hotelier who wants an effective web booking engine, without loosing up to 15% of the revenue through commissions.” He added.
