Mark Everton Named General Manager of
Hilton San Francisco Financial District


SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., September 5, 2006—Officials of the Dow Hotel Company, LLC, a hotel ownership investment and management company, today announced that Mark Everton has been named general manager of the 549-room Hilton San Francisco Financial District in California.  The hotel recently completed a $40 million renovation.

“Mark brings with him extensive operating experience, both within the Bay area and with upscale, full-service branded hotels,” said Murray L. Dow II, Dow Hotel Company president.  “Under his leadership and with his track record in operations and broad finance background, we expect this fully refurbished hotel to generate superior revenues and guest service.”

Prior to joining the Hilton San Francisco Financial District, Everton was general manager of the 484-room Oakland Marriott City Center and managing director of the 110,000-square-foot Oakland Convention Center.  He has held a number of increasingly important positions at hotels throughout the area, including director of operations at the 1,010-room Renaissance Parc 55 Hotel and controller of the 329-room Four Seasons Clift Hotel, both in San Francisco.  Everton received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University-Humboldt.

“With the completion of the multi-million dollar renovation, the hotel is well positioned to regain its place as the market leader for business and leisure travelers to San Francisco,” Everton noted. 

Located at 750 Kearny Street in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District, the 27-story hotel sits at the crossroads of the Financial District, Chinatown and North Beach and within walking distance of such area attractions as Union Square, Embarcadero Center, Fisherman’s Wharf and Nob Hill.  Hotel amenities include two eateries, Restaurant Seven Fifty and The Lounge at Seven Fifty, which offer Mediterranean fare and live jazz; Tully’s Coffee for quick coffee and pastries; the award-winning Tru Spa; state-of-the-art fitness center; 24-hour business center; laundry/valet service; and local area transportation.  Rooms are equipped with wireless high-speed Internet access, cordless phones with voicemail and data port, oversized desks with ergonomic desk chairs, and "The Suite Dreams" beds by Hilton.  Bathrooms are decorated with granite countertops, magnifying mirrors, free-standing hairdryers, and Crabtree & Evelyn bath amenities.
