 Benchmark Hospitality International Appoints Eric Adame
General Manager of Hotel Contessa

The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, September 2006 - Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Eric Adame general manager for Hotel Contessa, the luxury property located on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.  Tom O'Shea, vice president, made the announcement.
 
"I am pleased to welcome Eric to his new role with Benchmark as general manager of Hotel Contessa," said Mr. O'Shea.  "He brings significant experience in positioning first rate properties to be market leaders and we look forward to his great success here in San Antonio."
 
A highly accomplished hotelier with two decades of experience in the management of premium hotels and resorts, Mr. Adame was previously the general manager of Hotel ICON, located in downtown Houston.  During his tenure here, Adame skillfully positioned the elegant property to become one of the leading hotels in Houston.
 
Adame originally joined Benchmark Hospitality in 2002 as director of rooms for the Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center of Scottsdale, Arizona.  Prior to this, he was director of rooms at the Royal Palms Hotel and Casitas in Phoenix.  He has been involved with luxury properties since the early 1990s, including The Orchid at Mauna Lani on the Big Island of Hawaii, Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah, and the signature Phoenician Resort of Scottsdale.  He launched his career in 1985, working for several luxury resorts in the Scottsdale area.  Adame has throughout his career served in consulting capacities for premium resorts as well.
 
Mr. Adame attended Northern Arizona University's College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.  He is certified in the Stephen Covey "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" as well as the Malcolm Baldridge "Total Quality Management" training programs.  He is relocating to San Antonio.
