Nominations for “Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales &
Marketing” for 2006
.
MCLEAN, VA (Sept. 6, 2006) – To recognize and salute the greatest minds in sales and marketing for the hospitality, travel and tourism industries, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) is calling for nominations from the industry at-large to create its “who’s hot list” of 25 individuals to be named the “Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing” for 2006.  Nomination can be made online at www.adrianawards.com now through Oct. 20, 2006.

“We see such brilliant campaigns and clever strategies all year long, and we get the opportunity to cast the spotlight on these individuals who stand out in the industry for their creativity, intelligence, and passion for their work with our annual ‘Hot List’ of the Top 25,” states Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI.  “We are looking to honor those whose work has really made a difference and raised the bar for the industry.”

All hospitality, travel and tourism industry practitioners and suppliers are eligible for nomination, however, submissions must pertain to initiatives such as a sales and/or marketing success story that was developed and implemented after Sept. 1, 2005.

To nominate an industry colleague, visit www.adrianawards.com and click on “Top 25.”  Complete the brief submission statement and include specific sales and marketing accomplishments of the nominee with examples that support the individual’s implementation of an innovative strategy, the story of overcoming a specific challenge, or the development /implementation of a cutting-edge campaign.  Results are the key component of the submission statement.  Supporting materials can be e-mailed to awards@hsmai.org.  Visit www.adrianawards.com for more information on eligibility and submission requirements.

The “Top 25” will be selected this year in mid-November, and notification letters will be sent to award recipients Dec. 1.  The “Top 25” will be honored at HSMAI’s Adrian Awards, a black-tie dinner on Jan. 29, 2007.  In addition, recipients will be featured in an article in HSMAI’s Marketing Review magazine and receive a personalized plaque.
