to announce the purchase of Woodlands Resort & Inn in Summerville,
South Carolina. The acquisition adds the 19 room, Mobil Five-Star, AAA
Five Diamond property to the Salamander Hospitality portfolio, which also
includes the highly anticipated 120 room Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg,
Virginia which is currently under development and scheduled to open in
early 2009.
Woodlands Resort & Inn is one of only three lodging properties in America to be awarded the Mobil Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond awards for both lodging and dining. It is also a member of the highly esteemed Relais & Chateaux and is the Charleston area�s luxury retreat only 30 minutes from the historic District. The Dining Room has been awarded the Relais & Chateaux highest culinary designation � Relais Gourmand. The magnificently restored 1906 revival home is famous for elegantly appointed guest rooms, award-winning cuisine and superb service displaying a rare charm and quiet deference.
