|Dallas (July 5, 2006) – La Quinta hotels announced it has continued
to strengthen its executive management team with the addition of Julie
Cary to the position of Executive Vice President Marketing and Chief Marketing
Officer. She will be responsible for all of the Company’s marketing
initiatives, planning and analysis reporting to Wayne Goldberg, La Quinta’s
President and Chief Executive Officer.
Ms. Cary has spent nearly 20-years in roles of increasing responsibility in brand management, marketing and innovation with consumer companies such as Dean Foods, Gerber Products Company and Ralston Purina. Most recently, Cary served as Vice President of Marketing, Culinary and Beverage with Brinker International. She holds a M.B.A. from Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois.
