The Crane Resort and Residences, Barbados
.
St. Philip, Barbados, July 5, 2006 The Crane Resort and Residences, renowned for its unique cliff-top setting overlooking one of the top ten beaches in the world Life Styles of the Rich and Famous in the parish of St. Philip on Barbados pristine southeast coast, recently welcomed Mr. Andrew Zephirin as General Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of the Caribbeans oldest vacation resort.

A seasoned and well-respected hotelier, Barbadian Andrew Zephirin, arrived at The Crane in March 2006 following a seven year stint at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company serving as Hotel Manager and Acting General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island and Naples Golf respectively.  Most recently he served as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey.

I am very excited about returning home to Barbados for the opportunity to manage The Crane, a truly unique and special property.  My top priority is to fully understand the needs and expectations of our guests so I can align the resources of the resort to fully satisfy these needs, while delivering an exceptional memorable experience to all our guests, said Zephirin.

His career, spanning 25 years of hospitality service, has come full circle.  Andrew began his career at Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados and has covered several assignments at former Trusthouse Forte properties throughout the United States before becoming the first Barbadian to be appointed General Manager of Cunards Paradise Village back in Barbados.  Subsequently, Zephirin acquired further Caribbean hotel management experience during his time in Antigua, Jamaica and St. Lucia with the Sandals International Group.

Within his first month at The Crane Resort & Residences Zephirin has already implemented his first initiative The Crane Advisory Committee and Investor Focus Groups to help execute his long-term strategy to determine and reconcile the distinctive aspects of the resort with that of its members.

Zephirins principle task as General Manager is successfully operating a world class luxury residential resort, while guiding The Crane through its new development, which on completion, will include 497 one and two bedroom luxury residential suites most with plunge pools, a full service spa set in a coconut grove on the beach, choice of gourmet and casual restaurants and lighted tennis courts.  When finished the resorts world-renowned pool will be complimented by four pools with cascading waterfalls, meandering landscaping, and soft lighting.

Andrew Zephirin is a Certified Hotel Administrator (C.H.A.) as accredited by the American Hotel and Motel Association, a member of the Hotel Catering Institutional Management Association (H.C.I.M.A.) of Britain and he is married with two daughters.
