Makar Properties Completes Renovation of the
238 room Wyndham Orange County
.
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Aug. 21, 2006 - Less than five months after acquiring the Wyndham Orange County Hotel, Makar Properties has nearly completed the transformation of the property into a stylish, modern destination. Originally built in 1984, the six-story hotel is situated on three acres on Avenue of the Arts in Costa Mesa.

"The Wyndham Orange County was a diamond in the rough to begin with, and we have given it the necessary 'cut and polish' to bring out its full brilliance," stated Paul Makarechian, president and chief executive officer of Makar Properties. "With its re-launch this summer, we are confident the property offers an even more alluring destination for leisure and business travelers, from weddings and honeymoons to meetings and conventions."

All 238 guestrooms, including 35 suites, have been updated with a fresh new look, while all bathrooms have been improved with contemporary touches. The circular driveway leads to an open entry facade featuring beautifully manicured gardens. In the lobby, guests can relax at the newly renovated, spacious bar/lounge area. Valet car service is also available for special events.

Guests also can enjoy an innovative concept in casual, upscale dining. The 140-seat TerraNova Dining Room overlooks a picturesque lake and offers outdoor clubhouse seating. Breakfast lovers can start their day with the new "Fields and Sun Breakfast" buffet offering fresh fruits and produce, muffins and croissants baked daily, cooked-to-order omelets and much more.

Renowned Chef Azmin Ghahreman acted as an outside consultant, helping to create a brasserie-style menu for lunch and dinner consisting of old and new favorites. The lunchtime all-you-can-eat "Pasta Bar" offers five different types of pasta accompanied by over 25 fresh ingredients and sauces. With all cuisines represented, the dinner menu includes signature char-grilled meats, fresh seafood and seasonal specialties. The menu is complemented by a superb wine list with over 20 California and regional selections.

Also new, the Wyndham Orange County Hotel has now partnered with The Spa and Fitness Club located near South Coast Plaza. Guests have full access to this ultra luxurious spa including the saltwater lap pool, sun deck, saunas and whirlpool. Indulgent spa treatments and services such as massages, facials and manicures/pedicures are available to Wyndham Orange County guests. Additionally, "The Fitness Club" offers a wide array of classes including Pilates, weight training, cardio, cycling and aqua, to name a few.

Conveniently located across the street from the newly constructed, Cesar Pelli-designed Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Samueli Theater and the Orange County Performing Arts Center, the Wyndham Orange County (3350 Ave of the Arts, Costa Mesa, CA) is within walking distance of South Coast Plaza and only two miles from Newport Beach.
