Access Hotel Advisors Contracted to Manage the
Belmont Hotel at Dilbeck Court in Dallas, Texas
.

LOS COLINAS, TEX (August 14, 2006) Access Hotel Advisors, a full-service hospitality consulting firm, has announced it will now manage the Belmont Hotel at Dilbeck Court in Dallas, Texas.

Local developer and owner Monte Anderson of Options Real Estate Investments, has contracted Access Hotel Advisors to handle all aspects of property management including the opening of the Belmonts new restaurant, fitness facility, spa, and adjacent town home development The Villas at Dilbeck Court.

Built in 1946 by famed eclectic architect Charles Stevens Dilbeck, The Belmont Motor Hotel was recently reopened after Andersons multi-million dollar renovation of the historic property.  Anderson, a pioneer in the restoration of Southern Dallas County, used the moderne, mission style architecture to inspire the hip, contemporary Belmont Hotel.

The Belmont Motor Hotel was built in 1946 for the then astounding sum of $400,000. Nearly 8,000 cubic yards of earth and rock were moved to sculpt the cliff site to allow guests unparalleled views of the Dallas skyline. All of the latest building technologies available at the time were incorporated into the design and planning of the hotel. Built of fireproof masonry, it was one of the first hotels to offer year round air-conditioning. Similarly elaborate motor court hotels had been successful in California, and architect Charles Stevens Dilbeck took his inspiration from those examples, accenting a series of Moderne structures with Colonial-style details.

Considered to be a regional treasure, Dilbeck was a self-taught architectural designer who helped shape the architectural heritage of Dallas. Arriving in Dallas during The Depression, Dilbeck began designing homes in the new, affluent neighborhoods of Highland Park, Preston Hollow, Lakewood and Oak Cliff. As a designer he immediately sealed his reputation through his interesting and complex use of detail and architectural materials.

As the career of Dallas' most idiosyncratic architect progressed, the style of his work evolved from Ranch into the French Eclectic idiom, and finally into Moderne. By 1940s, Dilbeck was as renown throughout Dallas and North Texas for his motel architecture as for his residential work.

Since then the hotel had fallen prey to time's abuses. Local developer Monte Anderson, Options Real Estate Investments, assembled a new urbanist team of architects, designers and craftsmen to bring the wonderful though long neglected hotel back to its glory days. The impressive restoration was completed in late 2005.

Andersons new urbanist concept of an urban resort coupled with Access revolutionary technology-based management philosophy made this a perfect partnership.  I admire the entrepreneurial spirit of Access Hotel Advisors. They have a lot of experience that blends well with our vision.  Their emphasis on technology and open communication with ownership will help the Belmont become the most successful boutique hotel in Dallas, Anderson said.

Access Hotel Advisors Principal Tom Baker is honored to partner with an innovator like Anderson.  Charles Stevens Dilbeck brilliantly designed this property. It was trendy in the 40s and Monte has helped it again regain its glory.  Monte is a visionary with a great spirit. He will be an exciting partner in this new venture, Baker noted.

Reopened in 2005, the 68-room Belmont Hotel sits high on a bluff in the North Oak Cliff district and boasts four bungalow-style buildings, urban gardens, heated pool and spectacular panoramic views of the Dallas skyline.  The now famous BarBelmont has become a hot-spot and haven for Dallas hipsters to enjoy cocktails in a laid back neighborhood lounge environment.  For more information, visit www.belmontdallas.com.
