Cooperative International Sales and Customer Service Training Program |
.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (May 24, 2006) Signature Worldwide, a leading provider
of training outsourcing and business solutions, announces plans to partner
with the World Trade Center (WTC) Dulles Airport, to jointly develop an
international sales and customer service training program. The WTC Dulles
Airport is an entity that helps foreign companies enter the United States
marketplace.
The international sales and customer service training program will be offered at the WTC Dulles Airport and will be located in the future 365 acre, mixed-use project One Loudoun (www.oneloudoun.com), an upscale business and residential community in Loudoun County, Va. It is anticipated to be deliverable by 2008. Most World Trade Centers are export oriented, but the WTC Dulles is a bit different in that we are inbound investment oriented, focused on creating jobs domestically, said Mike Runde, president, WTC Dulles Airport. Because of our cooperative effort with Signature Worldwide, we will be able to provide valuable sales and customer service training to employees of the new businesses establishing themselves in the United States. The WTC Dulles Airport helped Signature Worldwide develop a plan focusing on World Trade Centers as a vehicle to identify international licensee candidates. Of the 44 countries covered by Signature Worldwide licensees, the WTC Dulles played an integral role in acquiring 34 of them. The WTC Dulles also works with Signature Worldwide to identify countries interested in destination marketing and promotion programs. Runde explains, World Trade Centers are ideally positioned to be the key link to their regions tourism and hospitality sectors. WTCs also know the importance of a labor force that is skilled in customer service, as customer service can be a key factor in enhancing the regions global competitive edge as a tourism destination. Our partnership with the WTC Dulles and other World Trade Centers internationally helps minimize the cost, risk and time of a small business that is striving to grow internationally, said Steve Wolever, chief executive officer, Signature Worldwide. We look forward to continuing and growing our relationship with World Trade Centers to provide customer service training as well as destination marketing programs. Signature Worldwide won the U.S. Department of Commerces Export Achievement Award in 2004 and the State of Ohios Excellence in Exporting Award in 2005.
