Benchmark Appoints Jerry Gleason Managing Director
for West Baden Springs Hotel

The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, June 9, 2006 - Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Jerry Gleason as managing director for West Baden Springs Hotel.  The historic property, located in West Baden Springs, Indiana, is being comprehensively renovated with anticipated re-opening date of June 2007.  The West Baden Springs Hotel will be part of the French Lick Resort & Casino of French Lick, Indiana, located one mile away.  Ellen Sinclair, vice president for Benchmark, made the announcement.

"Jerry comes to Benchmark with an impressive professional history and vast knowledge of hotel, resort and gaming operations," stated Ms. Sinclair.  "He will be a tremendous asset to the West Baden Springs Hotel and French Lick Resort & Casino and we welcome him to the company."

Most recently, Jerry Gleason was area vice president of operations for Hilton Hotels, overseeing properties throughout the southwestern United States.  He has also served as regional vice president for Promos Hotels, responsible for 12 properties in the southwest.  Gleason served in the same role with Doubletree Hotels, with responsibilities for hotels in Georgia, Florida and St. Thomas. 

During the early 1990s, Mr. Gleason was vice president and managing director for the signature El Conquistador Resort, located in Fajardo, Puerto Rico; a property he was responsible for opening and where he gained important gaming experience. 

He also served as executive vice president for the La Costa Resort and Spa of Carlsbad, California. His original assignment for this resort was as general manager.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Gleason worked for Hyatt Hotels in executive management positions for seven different properties located throughout the country.

Jerry Gleason is a graduate of the State University of New York.  He served in the Intelligence Division of the United States Air Force from 1963-1967.  He and his wife Linda have relocated to West Baden.

The historic West Baden Springs Hotel will reopen June 2007 after being closed since 1934. Built in 1902, the hotel gained recognition for its elegant atrium topped by what was once the world's largest free-span dome and became widely known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." The newly restored property will provide guests unparalleled luxury with 242 completely refurbished guestrooms and suites, a new spa and health club, and exciting new restaurants.

The West Baden Springs Hotel is part of the $382 million historic restoration and expansion project at the French Lick Resort & Casino, which also includes the French Lick Springs Hotel and the new French Lick Casino (both opening November 2006). When complete, this premier resort and casino destination will feature a total of 684 guest rooms and suites; an 84,000-square-foot casino with a 42,000 square-foot, single-level gaming floor; 45 holes of golf, including the fully restored 1920-designed Donald Ross Course (opening August 2006) and a new, 18-hole Pete Dye course (opening spring 2008); two full-service spas with a combined 36 treatment rooms totaling 41,000 square feet; and an array of dining and entertainment options.
