General Hotels Corporation Spending $6 million to Renovate and Rebrand
the Holiday Inn Select Indianapolis Airport to a Crowne Plaza

ATLANTA (June 21, 2006) � InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) [LON:IHG, NYSE:IHG (ADRs)], the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, today announced plans to convert the Holiday Inn Select Indianapolis Airport hotel to a Crowne Plaza hotel in Fall 2006.

The property, which is owned and managed by General Hotels Corporation, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group, is located at 2501 South High School Road, Indianapolis, IN.; Telephone: (317) 243-1014; Facsimile: (317) 243-1078.  The hotel is currently known as the Holiday Inn Select Indianapolis Airport.

Located just off the Airport Expressway and I-465, the 274-room property is nine miles from downtown Indianapolis. Among the highlights at the future Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport are an indoor pool, fitness center and business center, as well as wireless and wired high speed Internet access in the hotel�s lobby, meeting space and guestrooms.  The hotel will undergo a $6 million renovation which will include enhancements to the building�s exterior, meeting space, lobby, restaurant, bar and guest bathrooms.

The soon-to-be Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport features the award-winning Chanteclair Restaurant which is popular for its French cuisine, tableside preparations and extensive wine list. 
 
Once converted to a Crowne Plaza hotel, the newly introduced Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage will be featured in all guestrooms.  The Sleep Advantage, which is available at all Crowne Plaza hotels in the Americas region, encompasses the entire sleep experience, from training staff on how to create and maintain a restful environment to providing innovative products and services. Program components include new bedding, guaranteed wake-up calls, designated quiet zones, night lights, drape clips, sleep CDs, sleep tips and amenities such as eye masks, ear plugs and lavender spray.  
 
Consistent with the Crowne Plaza brand, the hotel will offer a comprehensive meetings package to ensure a seamless planning process and exceptional meeting experience consisting of three key components: a Two-Hour Response Guarantee, Crowne Meetings Director and a Meetings Daily Debrief. With 22,000-sq. ft. of meeting space including one ballroom, a symposium, an amphitheatre and ten additional meeting rooms, the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport will provide the perfect venue for business meetings and social functions.
