 Christine Nevers Named General Manager of the Boutique
Hotel Providence, Providence, Rhode Island

(Providence, RI)  June 2006 -- The Four Diamond, boutique Hotel Providence is happy to announce the hiring of Christine Nevers , a fifteen-year hotel veteran with a strong New England background in hospitality and a focus on revenue management.
 
Nevers' responsibilities at the 80-room SLH member hotel will include overall management of departments, streamlining service procedures to ensure the property's luxury standards for guests, as well as directing and overseeing the entire management operation. 
 
Most recently, Nevers was the Director of Revenue Management for the Hotel Viking in Newport, RI, where she played a substantial role in increasing overall revenue and rev/par.  
 
Prior to that, Nevers worked at the Westin Providence for 11 years and her responsibilities included Director of Revenue Management, as well as management positions in Front Office, Guest Services, Reservations, Sales and Housekeeping . 
 
A University of Rhode Island graduate, Nevers has a very strong sense of the business and competition in the city Providence, and the Hotel Providence is excited to have her on board.   
 
"Christine brings 11 years of experience from the Providence Westin to the Hotel Providence.  She has a vast knowledge of local business in our area and will contribute greatly to our sales effort.  As a revenue manager at the Westin, she was highly attuned to the business end of the hospitality industry and is considered a star among her peers," said Stanley Weiss, the hotel's principal.
