The Billion-Dollar Off-Strip Luxury Resort - Red Rock Casino,
Resort and Spa Opens in Summerlin, Nevada
.
LAS VEGAS - April 17, 2006 -- Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa from Station Casinos, Inc. (NYSE:STN), the first billion-dollar resort to be built off the Las Vegas Strip, will open tomorrow in the upscale master-planned community of Summerlin. The largest entertainment venue from Station Casinos to date, the property is the most lavish off-strip casino ever built in Las Vegas.

Inspired by the natural beauty of the neighboring Red Rock mountains and the elegant desert oasis resorts of the mid-20th century, the feel is classic Las Vegas, reinvented for the 21st century with a contemporary design and the latest amenities, comforts and technology. A true desert resort, the property will open with more than 400 luxury guest rooms and suites, a unique adventure spa and full gaming offerings. By late 2006/early 2007, the resort will offer approximately 850 guest rooms.

Designed with all the services and amenities to become a five-star/five-diamond property, Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa redefines how casinos are created, incorporating liberal use of glass walls to provide natural light and views of the mountains to meld inside and outside.
The feel of the resort is set by the use of more than 3.1 million crystals displayed throughout dozens of chandeliers, exotic woods, imported stone and rich fabric. The result is mid-century classic glamour fused with desert-modern decor and the comforts of a modern lifestyle.
Located on 68 acres of land near the majestic Red Rock mountains in Summerlin, the No. 1 master-planned community in the United States, the resort is approximately 10 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip and a 20-minute drive from McCarran International Airport.

The Hotel

At approximately one-third the size of large Las Vegas Strip hotels, the hotel at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa is an intimate retreat with a boutique feel. A separate hotel entrance that allows guests to conveniently access their rooms without having to cross the casino floor sets Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa apart from other luxury resorts in Las Vegas.

Featuring a chic, ultra-modern look and design using only the finest materials, the guest rooms and suites at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa are some of the largest and most finely appointed in Las Vegas. The resort's standard rooms begin at 525 square feet and sizes go up to 4,400 square feet for its most lavish suites.

Each guest room reflects the resort's rich colors and materials. Exotic woods, marble, crystal and elegant fabrics adorn each room. Filled with luxury amenities, including 42-inch high-definition plasma televisions, Bose sound systems with iPod connectivity, guest robes and slippers, in-room martini bars and 15-inch LCD televisions in the bathrooms, all rooms offer spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip or the Red Rock mountains.

The heart of the resort is the pool backyard. Encompassing more than three acres, the backyard offers a main pool with an interactive fountain, private pool areas, cabanas, wading pools, an exciting poolside gaming environment featuring blackjack tables, a cafe and poolside beverage service.

The hotel also provides 94,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. Many of the meeting rooms feature glass walls that allow in natural light and offer views of the pool backyard and neighboring mountains.

The Spa

The 25,000 square-foot Spa at Red Rock Las Vegas offers a sleek, modern environment that promotes health, relaxation and rejuvenation. Drenched in rich shades of red and accented with cream and chocolate brown earth tones, the space envelops guests in a luxurious atmosphere whether staying at the resort or visiting for a day of spa pampering. The Spa at Red Rock seamlessly integrates with the adjacent three-acre pool backyard, and its cutting-edge design includes treatment suites that appear to float on water. An additional 10,000 square feet will be added when the hotel extension is complete late 2006/early 2007.

In addition to a variety of massage, treatment and skin therapies from around the world, The Spa at Red Rock is one of the only spas in Las Vegas that offers Ashiatsu massage. Other unique features for hotel guests and day visitors include a boxing ring, men's and women's salons (including a dedicated men's space offering a personal barber and straight-razor shaves), a workout center, couples treatments, VIP day suites, nutrition counseling and cooking classes, outdoor treatment cabanas and a private lap pool.

The Spa at Red Rock Las Vegas also is the only spa in Las Vegas that invites guests to experience the beauty of the neighboring Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area by offering an adventure spa program with excursions from rock climbing to hiking to white water rafting.

The Casino

The casino is the center of excitement at the resort, offering the ultimate experience in gaming, dining and entertainment. The casino is a true showplace, covered in exotic woods, honey and red onyx, Venetian plaster, gold leaf and custom Swarovski chandeliers, including 12 chandelier spheres each featuring 36,000 pieces of crystal; 1.6 million pieces of crystal hanging from the ceiling of the Lucky Bar; and a 60 foot-long boxed chandelier showcasing more than 300,000 pieces of crystal in the high limit gaming area.

Red Rock's casino offers the most technologically advanced gaming experience available in Las Vegas, with more than 3,000 of the latest slot and video gaming machines. The casino also includes a circular gaming pit with 60 gaming tables featuring blackjack, craps, pai gow, a state-of-the-art race and sports book, poker room open 24 hours a day, and other live games.

Popular nightclub operator Rande Gerber of Midnight Oil Company will open his second Las Vegas nightclub, CHERRY, at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa. His first Vegas nightclub, The Whiskey, has been enjoying immense popularity at Station Casinos' Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson.

CHERRY, designed by the Rockwell group of New York City, is an 8,500 square-foot nightclub featuring the most advanced lighting and sound system ever created for a club. CHERRY's electric red leather walls, translucent crimson glass doors and rich chocolate-leather seating create a sleek, yet inviting venue. A mirrored-tunnel entranceway leads guests into this extraordinary oval-shaped nightclub. And, on warm Las Vegas nights, one wall of CHERRY slides out of sight to combine the club with its own private pool area.

Both the club and the pool deck feature private alcoves and cabanas for guests to enjoy. The club includes VIP areas overlooking the dance floor, while the pool deck has rotating sun beds and individual daybeds nestled in private areas. The private cabanas offer 42-inch plasma TVs and stereos, as well as refrigerators and private bars.

The nine restaurants at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa feature something for everyone, from the Feast Buffet and Texas' famed Salt Lick BBQ, to fine dining choices, like Terra Rossa Italian Bistro and T-bones Chophouse and Lounge. A Master Sommelier has hand-selected Red Rock Resort's wine collection, including a 7,500-bottle collection at T-bones and a 1,500-bottle collection of exclusive Italian and California wines at Terra Rossa.
