Mackinac Island, MI - April 5, 2006 - The Grand Heritage Hotel Group,
operators of the historic Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, announced
the appointment of David Sanderson to general manager. Mr. Sanderson
joins Mission Point Resort from the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort in
Cumberland, MD. The Mission Point Resort will open for the 2006 season
on May 3rd with special family and golf packages.
Mr. Sanderson brings an extensive hospitality resort management background to his new position at Mission Point. In addition to his tenure at the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort, he has held management positions at the Evergreen Conference Center and Resort in Stone Mountain, GA., the Columbus Hilton Hotel, Columbus, GA, and the Crowne Plaza Harrisburg/Hershey, PA... He attended Northeastern University in Boston, and has earned the Certified Hotel Administration designation from the American Hospitality and Management Association. "David's sales and marketing background combined with his track record of delivering excellent customer service will deliver our owners a product of which they will be proud," said Stephen Moore, Managing Director of Grand Management. Grand Heritage Hotel Group, which was appointed the management company for the property last spring, is one of the nation's premier owner-operators of independent historic hotels.
