Ed Svitak Named Director of Sales & Marketing
for the Marriott Chicago Midway Airport

CHICAGO, IL., March 2, 2006 � Michael Williams, Market Vice President and General Manager of Midway Hotel Center, recently announced the appointment of Ed Svitak to Director of Sales & Marketing for the new Marriott Chicago Midway Airport, which opened earlier this month.  

Formerly the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Riviera Resort & Racquet Club and Harbaugh Hotel Management in Palm Springs, California, Svitak is a 20-year veteran within the hospitality industry and will oversee the entire sales and marketing operation for the hotel.  Svitak holds a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.  

Just two blocks from Midway International Airport and eight miles from Downtown Chicago, the Marriott Chicago Midway Airport at Midway Hotel Center has recently completed a two million dollar re-branding and renovation.  The full-service hotel now boasts 5,500 square-feet of state-of-art meeting space, including the 3,400 square-foot Washington Ballroom and six breakout rooms.  On down-time, guests can enjoy an indoor pool, whirlpool spa and fitness center, as well as an array of nearby attractions to include North Michigan Avenue shopping, Wrigley Field, Sears Tower and the Art Institute of Chicago.  Dempsey's Irish-American Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and hosts a private dining room that is available for special group functions.
