The Days Inn & Conference Centre in Penticton, British Columbia
Completes $4 million Renovation
.

TORONTO, ON, March 13, 2006 - The recently expanded Penticton Days Inn & Conference Centre has completed over $4 million in guestroom and facility renovations. The four-year project has seen the hotel nearly double in size, making it one of South Okanagan's premier hotel facilities.

"As British Columbia gets ready to welcome the world during the 2010 Olympics, we too wanted to prepare by offering everything tourists are looking for," said Joe Morelli Jr., General Manager, Penticton Days Inn & Conference Centre. "The hotel has been expanded into a modern full-service business and leisure hotel, while preserving the charm and hospitality it is known for."

Facility expansion includes the addition of the Black Iron Grill & Steakhouse, a Daybreak Café breakfast room, the Riverside Conference Centre with over 5000 square feet of meeting facilities and an indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness centre. The Black Iron Grill & Steakhouse, Penticton's newest steakhouse, is open daily for lunch and dinner and prepares all the in-house catering for the hotel. The Daybreak Café breakfast room offers a free continental breakfast featuring healthy and delicious choices such as a selection of hot and cold cereals and fruit salad. The new Riverside Conference Centre can accommodate up to 150 people, while the Mosaic and Vintage meeting rooms are equipped for video conferencing and are ideal for meetings of up to 50 guests.

Guestroom upgrades include five-star chiropractic queen and king size mattresses, in-room refrigerators and complimentary high-speed Internet access (wireless and data port). Guestrooms also feature the new SolTerre® shower experience, offering increased light and elbowroom through an innovative window pane shower curtain and curved shower rod, as well as a multi-action, six-function Waterpik® showerhead and citrus and sunflower enriched SolTerre® bath amenities.

Located at 152 Riverside Drive, the five-sunburst, 105-room Penticton Days Inn & Conference Centre is a resort-style hotel conveniently located one block south of Lake Okanagan and one block west of the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, making it perfect for family getaways and business trips alike. The hotel recently received the prestigious 2005 Days Inn Chairman's Award for the fourth year in a row. Surrounded by a one-acre courtyard featuring a large outdoor pool with a splash-pad for kids, the hotel also has an indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness centre. Guests can choose from a variety of contemporary guest rooms including mountain-view rooms with private patios, honeymoon suites with Jacuzzi, fireplace, king bed and private patio, and WorkZone rooms for business travellers. Guestroom amenities include 25" cable TV, mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and board. Complimentary services include parking, high-speed Internet, daily newspaper and continental breakfast.
