| March 28, 2006 - With more than 30 years of experience in the business,
Gilles began his hospitality career as a Management Trainee with the Royal
Court Hotel in London, England. He joined InterContinental Hotels in 1977
at the InterContinental Paris and has held several Food & Beverage
positions of increasing responsibility, in Dubai, UAE, the Philippines
and Thailand.
Gilles transferred to the United States in 1990 with Le Meridien Hotels as the Executive Assistant Manager at their Chicago property. After an additional two years in Thailand with Swissotels and managing his own bed and breakfast operation in Canada, Gilles returned to InterContinental Hotels in the capacity of Hotel Manager at the InterContinental Chicago. Mostly recently, Gilles served as the General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Allerton in Chicago. |
