| NEW YORK, NY (January 9, 2006) - Linda Hodgson was recently named Director
of Sales and Marketing for the InterContinental The Barclay New York.
In this position, Hodgson will lead the development and implementation
of all sales and marketing initiatives to maximize profits at the 686-room
hotel in midtown Manhattan.
Hodgson comes to the InterContinental The Barclay New York with a wealth of experience in hotel sales. Most recently she was Director of Sales and Marketing at the Langham Hotel, Boston. Prior to that, she was the Director of Worldwide Business Travel Sales with a focus on London/UK, working for Hilton Hotels Corporation at the Hilton Worldwide Sales office based in New York. Hodgson had previous employment with Hilton International and once held the position of Director of Sales at the Langham Hilton London. Prior to joining Hilton International, she was employed by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, where she held various positions in London including Group Sales Manager at the Churchill InterContinental, as well as positions of Director of Group Sales and Assistant Director of Sales at the InterContinental London Hyde Park Corner. Originally from the United Kingdom, Hodgson began her career in 1989
at Spectra Travel Ltd, as a Sales Executive.
