 Francis Purvey Named Director of Sales and Marketing for Both
Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino and
Radisson St. Martin Resort & Spa

ARUBA, January 4, 2005 � Carlson Managed Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Francis Purvey as director of sales and marketing for both Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino and Radisson St. Martin Resort & Spa, slated to open December 2006.  In this position, he is responsible for all domestic and international sales and marketing initiatives for the resorts, supervising a staff of 11 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Aruba and St. Martin who promote both Radisson flagship properties to the leisure, group and incentive markets.  Purvey is based in the company�s resort sales and marketing office in Fort Lauderdale.

An industry veteran, Purvey brings 34 years of experience to the position, most recently serving as director of sales & marketing for the 300-room Bahia Mar Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale.  Prior to that, he was the director of marketing & leisure sales for Radisson Suite Resort on Sand Key in Clearwater, Fla. A British citizen, Purvey had a successful tenure as a senior officer for the Bermuda Department of Tourism from 1972-1985.

Purvey is active in a number of professional affiliations including Meeting Professionals International, SKAL and Society of Incentive & Travel Executives in Florida.
