Donald Drnek as Executive Chef for the 495 room luxury hotel located at
440 Park Avenue. “We are delighted to welcome Chef Drnek to Swissôtel
The Drake, New York with his invaluable experience and culinary expertise
and we look forward to building on existing strengths already in place
in the catering department,” said David Gibbons, General Manager.
Chef Drnek, a New York native, joins Swissôtel The Drake, New York with more than 20 years of experience after working as executive chef with Omni Berkshire Place since early 2005. Throughout his culinary career, Chef Drnek has worked for private clubs and major hotel chains including Rosewood and multiple properties for Loews. His extensive accomplishments are evident with his successful supervision of the grand “hot opening”, as mentioned by Time Out New York magazine, of Loews Metropolitan Hotel’s new restaurant, Met Grill and the restructuring of the Omni dining experience after a major renovation. “Chef Drnek’s direction along with his dedicated team will continue with the high level of service, hospitality and attention to detail that is always present for any type of event at Swissotel The Drake, New York”, Gibbons added.
