ATLANTA (Jan. 26, 2006) - InterContinental Hotels Group, the largest hotel group by number of rooms, announced today the addition of its newest 310-room Crowne Plaza hotel in Mexico City. 

The Crowne Plaza Hotel de Mexico, which is owned and managed by Comercial Hotelera Mexicana, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group, is located at Dakota 95, Col. Napoles, C.P., 03810, Mexico City, Mexico.  Telephone: 52 (55) 1164-1164.

The InterContinental Hotels Group portfolio in Mexico is represented by five of its brands including the upper upscale, upscale, full service, limited service and upscale extended stay segments with more than 80 hotels and nearly 14,000 rooms.

The new ten-story property features state-of-the-art in-room amenities including a custom music feature, custom temperature control and In-Room Business Center™ fully equipped with a computer and complimentary unlimited high-speed Internet access. The hotel also offers its Ladies First™ Program, in which designated rooms for women offer additional lighting and mirrors as well as a high powered hair dryer and hair iron. All guests can make pillow selections from an in-room pillow menu.
 
Other guestroom amenities include: voice mail, coffee maker, hair dryer, make-up mirror, iron and ironing board. The Crowne Plaza Hotel de Mexico also offers wireless Internet service throughout the property, a 24-hour reception desk, express checkout, same-day laundry and valet, library lounge and fitness center. The hotel’s restaurants LeBistro and Italia Mia feature international and Italian cuisine respectively and the hotel’s Lobby Bar and Tabacci Coffee Lounge offer beverages and light fare. 

As with all hotels in the Crowne Plaza portfolio, the Crowne Plaza Hotel de Mexico offers a comprehensive meetings package to ensure a seamless planning process and exceptional meeting experience.  The program consists of three key components: a Two-Hour Response Guarantee, Crowne Meetings Director and a Meetings Daily Debrief.  The Crowne Plaza Hotel de Mexico has nearly 10,000 sq.-ft. of function space consisting of nine meeting rooms. 

Guestrooms feature the newly introduced Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage which is available at all Crowne Plaza hotels in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.  The Sleep Advantage encompasses the entire sleep experience, from training staff on how to create and maintain a restful environment to providing innovative products and services. Program components include new bedding, guaranteed wake-up calls, designated quiet zones, night lights, drape clips, sleep CDs, sleep tips and amenities such as eye masks, ear plugs and lavender spray.  

Situated in the central part of Mexico City, the property is adjacent to the World Trade Center and within walking distance to several restaurants and shops as well as the Polyforum Siqueiros cultural center, which displays the world’s largest mural. The Mexico City World Trade Center Conference Center, Latin America’s largest conference center, is also next to the hotel.
