  Candlewood Suites Hotel to Open in Ft. Lauderdale; 
71 room Hotel Owned by 84 Investments, Inc.

ATLANTA (Jan. 20, 2006) - InterContinental Hotels Group, the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, announces plans for a new 71-room Candlewood Suites hotel near Ft. Lauderdale's air and cruise port terminals in South Florida. The new property is expected to open late 2006 and will be Ft. Lauderdale's first Candlewood Suites hotel. 

The Candlewood Suites Ft. Lauderdale is owned by 84 Investments, Inc., and managed by Luckey's Management Inc., under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group. Standard Candlewood Suites guestrooms feature studio or one-bedroom suite floor plans with a full kitchen, large workspace with comfortable desk chair and overhead lighting, overstuffed recliner, VCR/DVD and CD player and two-line telephones with voice mail, 24-hour front desk, express checkout, complimentary shuttle service to area attractions and businesses and complimentary parking.
