Hospitality, today named Bob Sassani general manager of the award-winning
The Water Club in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The 84-room The Water Club Hotel,
which has been ranked as one of the 32 �coolest� hotels in the world by
Conde Nast Traveler magazine, is Tecton�s first boutique property in the
Caribbean.
Sassani has 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to this, Sassani was the general manager of the award-winning 40-room Hotel Astor in Miami Beach, Fla. During his tenure at the Hotel Astor, Sassani raised occupancy levels, revenue per available room (RevPar) and average daily room rate over the prior year as well as lowered the operating cost in all departments. He accomplished all of this while maintaining the style and sophistication of one of the most well known hotels in South Beach. Tecton Hospitality provides a wide range of management services to both institutional and individual owners of hotels in the United States and Caribbean. The Miami-based company operates branded hotels, including full-service properties and resorts under the Sheraton, Marriott, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and Best Western names, as well as boutique hotels through the Desires boutique-hotels division.
