Las Vegas, Nevada, February 3, 2006 �Optimum Hotel Brokerage earned
many of Hotel Brokers International�s top honors, including the prestigious
Broker of the Year award, presented at HBI�s annual membership meeting
held in Las Vegas January 29th through February 3, 2005. Joseph McCann,
Optimum�s principal and president, was recognized for his firm�s exceptional
sales production, creative deal-making, and total hotel dollar volume.
The awards were presented by Dick Lopez, HBI�s outgoing president, at HBI�s
lavish closing awards banquet. The week-long convention was attended
by HBI brokers and associates and held at the Palms Resort and Casino.
McCann and Optimum Hotel Brokerage were recognized for sales and marketing leadership by winning the following HBI awards:

Joe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Hospitality Management degree (with concentration in Hotel Finance) from the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. He has also completed advanced Finance, Real Estate Finance, Hotel Valuation, and New Venture Development courses offered by the University of Connecticut, the University of Texas, Cornell University, and the University of Houston�s Melcher Graduate School of Business. He has been an active broker and consultant in the hospitality industry, with assignments ranging from hotel feasibility projects to multi-unit restaurant development.
