Hotelex Shanghai on April 4-7, 2006 Expecting 30,000
Hospitality Decision-makers from Over 70 Countries
.

February 28, 2006 - Professionals of the hospitality industry in Asia are looking forward to the opening of Hotelex Shanghai on April 4-7 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. In its fifteens session the show is coming back with enlarged exhibition space, with 1000 companies covering some 50.000 sqm.

Extremely favorable markets, fuelled by increasing business and leisure travel as well as a strong trend towards out-of-house dining have brought many international and local exhibitors to Hotelex. Again Spain and Italy will mark a strong presence, but also NAFEM from USA and a good amount of individual exhibitors from Europe will target on increasingly sophisticated end-users.

The show, being a marketplace for Asia's hospitality industry, will attract visitors from hotels, restaurants, contract caterers, bars, bakery shops, leisure facilities and cleaning companies - altogether over 30.000 visitors are expected to attend the event. Highly targeted promotion will ensure awareness amongst professional visitors in China, including new tourist destinations like the provinces of Sichuan, Yunnan or Hainan. But also other major Asian countries, such as Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia have been covered with an extended campaign. International attendance is expected to reach some 2500 international visitors.

Visitors to Hotelex should not only expect to see the latest equipment and products, but will also have the chance to attend a multitude of events.

Cleaning and Coffee making will be amongst the highlights:

In an attempt to get ready for the Olympic Games, World Expo and other international top-events, a majority of China's restaurants and hotels will face stricter hygiene and food safety standards. At Hotelex this new sector will now be covered by international and local cleaning supplies: Karcher, Ecolab, Viper, XYZ, BeiYun, Honyee, Chaobao and an extended conference program presented by the leading industry magazine"Cleaning Consultants". Topics will cover the latest know how in cleaning: from carpet cleaning programs and pest control, from public restrooms to food safety.

Another highlight is planned for the Coffee and Tea section: Endorsed by World Barista Championship committee, the forth China Barista Championship (CBC) finals have been scheduled to take place at Hotelex Shanghai 2006.

12 out of 60 candidates from Mainland China have made it to the top and will battle it out during Hotelex Shanghai. The 1st place winner at CBC will represent China in 2007 at the World Barista Championship in Japan.

Hotelex Shanghai 2005 was a tremendous success, exceeding the expectations of the 587 exhibitors that had come from all over the world to showcase their latest hospitality products and services. The event was the largest in the fair's 14-year history and set records in terms of visitors, exhibitors and exhibition space:
