Doug Housley Named General Manager of the
277-room Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (February 21, 2006) -- Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco recently welcomed Mr. Doug Housley as General Manager, to oversee the daily operations and management of the 277-room, five-star property, located in the heart of the city�s Yerba Buena District.  Mr. Housley arrives in San Francisco from Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence in Egypt, where he served as General Manager.  

Representing Doug�s ninth move with the company since joining Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 1979, the most recent promotion brings him back to familiar territory on the West Coast, where he spent 13 years of his career covering assignments at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Four Seasons Hotel Seattle.

A seasoned and well-respected hotelier worldwide, Doug�s twenty-three year career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has spanned continents as well as decades.  His career began at Four Seasons Vancouver in the position of Café Manager where he quickly expanded his knowledge of hotel management with positions in Room Service, Banquets and Fine Dining.  He went on to become Director of Catering and eventually Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto before returning to the West Coast as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver in 1994.   

Doug took the role of Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle before moving to The Ritz Carlton Chicago (A Four Seasons Hotel).  Both properties earned the coveted Mobil Five-Star Award during his tenure.  A native of Toronto, Doug and his wife Nicola are in the process of relocating to San Francisco.
