$2 million Renovation, Named MeriStar's Hotel of the Year |
Orlando, Fla. (Oct. 7, 2005) Located less than a quarter of a mile from Disney World, Central Floridas 489-room Sheraton Safari Hotel and Suites Lake Buena Vista, formerly the Sheraton Safari Hotel, welcomes guests with a unique African safari theme, outstanding amenities and first class service. This has earned the property the MeriStar Hospitality Corporation Hotel of the Year Award. MeriStar Hospitality owns the Sheraton Safari, along with more than 70 other hotels in 22 states and the District of Columbia. This is a tremendous honor for our property and our staff, explains Jeff Brinda, general manager. Despite dealing with hurricanes and completing renovations, we received positive growth in service scores and increased revenues. That is a true testament to the great team we have here. Not wanting to rest on its laurels, the Sheraton Safari Hotel and Suites Lake Buena Vista has completed more than $2 million in renovations and is now welcoming visitors with 90 upgraded guest safari suites that include a sleeping room plus a sitting room for extra comfort, along with a kitchenette. The Safaris renovated executive suites offer added comforts including a full kitchen and dining area. In addition, every room features the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bedding. Setting a new standard for hotel beds, the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper is a custom designed plush top mattress set, a cozy fleece blanket, a plump duvet, safari themed of course, and five cushy pillows. Featuring African native artifacts and a safari décor theme throughout the hotel, the Sheraton Safari Hotel and Suites Lake Buena Vista transports guests to the heart of Africa. |
