Festivities for the new developments were hosted by Dimension 3 Hospitality on Thursday, October 20, commencing with a groundbreaking ceremony for Motel 6 - Red Deer on an adjacent property lot to the new Days Inn - Red Deer. The grand opening of the Days Inn hotel featured a cocktail reception with property tours and a ribbon cutting ceremony with the honorable Deputy Mayor Lynne Mulder.

Days Inn - Red Deer 
Located at #1000, 5001-19th Street, Southpointe Common in Red Deer, the newly-constructed Days Inn - Red Deer is a four-storey, 76-room property with WorkZone rooms and suites for business travellers, extended stay suites, Jacuzzi/Fireplace suites, KidZone suites, indoor-pool and waterslide complex and an on-site convenience store.  All rooms come standard with mini-fridge, microwave, hairdryer, coffee makers, voicemail, iron and board as well as complimentary high-speed Internet.

Motel 6 - Red Deer
Scheduled to open in Spring 2006, the three-storey Motel 6 - Red Deer will feature 79 guest rooms in the contemporary Motel 6 prototype design. This pet-friendly hotel will offer data ports, free local phone calls with no long distance access charges, free morning coffee, 24-hour-a-day fax service, expanded cable channels and guest laundry facilities. This property is the second of several more Motel 6 properties Dimension 3 Hospitality plans to build in the coming years.
