MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 30, 2005) - Park Inn, part of Carlson Hotels Worldwide,
today announced that it will begin offering "lite on-the-go breakfast"SM
at its U.S. properties starting Sept. 30, 2005.
The complimentary breakfast, which may be offered in addition to onsite,
full-service restaurants or expanded continental breakfast, will be provided
in a Park Inn-branded grab bag containing fresh fruit, a granola bar and
an item of local flavor, such as branded coffee. This new program will
be offered weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and on weekends and holidays
from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
"Guests tell us that a quick and easy breakfast offering is an important
amenity of their stay. Speed and convenience is the concept behind
the Lite, on-the-go breakfast as many customers say they do not necessarily
need a full-continental or hot-cooked breakfast," said Nancy Johnson, brand
leader for Park Inn and executive vice president of select-service hotels
for Carlson Hotels Worldwide. "The Lite, on-the-go breakfast program
is designed to not only offer a quick and easy breakfast experience for
guests, but also a cost-effective and flexible offering for our hotels."
Johnson added that the new breakfast
program and its vibrant packaging is another step in the company's ongoing
efforts to position Park Inn as Carlson Hotels Worldwide newest growth
brand.
"Hotel guests, whether they are staying at a full or limited-service
hotel, increasingly expect more value for their dollar," said Johnson.
"From a bright atmosphere and inviting shower to food on-the-go and upgraded
linens, we've listened to what our guests tell us they want and continue
to find new ways of enhancing their Park Inn stay."
In 2004 the company unveiled a bold new design concept that reflects
the future vision for this brand. The first property to feature the
new look recently opened in Brunswick, Ga.

"The new Park Inn Brunswick brings the new conversion prototype to life
and provides a refreshing and contemporary new level of hotel experience
while adapting to each location by bringing in a hint of the local influence,"
added Johnson. "Our customers told us that they wanted the new Park
Inn to provide a fresh feel with an unencumbered stay at a reasonable cost
and the Park Inn Brunswick delivers on that desire," she said.
Bed: The signature bed includes an enhanced pillow
top inlay pad over a mattress that is of a quality and comfort above the
competitive set for Park Inn. Sheets are a 200-thread count standard
and pillows contain a "touch of down."
Shower/Bath: The bathroom is bright and inviting with light-colored
accents and artwork that expresses the local charm of the Georgia coastal
town of Brunswick, Georgia. The towels will be thicker and higher
in quality than guest expectations in this category. The unique hookless
vinyl shower curtain mounted on a crescent-shaped shower curtain rod has
a modern design and the distinctive showerhead offers guests a refreshing
shower experience. Both are innovative for hotels in the segment.
