CLEVELAND,
OCT. 1, 2005 - David J. Sangree, MAI, CPA, ISHC announces the formation
of hospitality consulting firm Hotel & Leisure Advisors.
Based in Cleveland, Hotel & Leisure Advisors (H&LA) specializes
in appraisals, feasibility studies, and impact analysis for the hospitality
industry including hotels, resorts, indoor and outdoor waterparks, golf
courses, amusement parks, conference centers, and other leisure properties.
A national firm, H&LA provides expert hospitality consulting and appraisal
services to owners of leisure properties, developers, lenders, management
companies, attorneys, real estate consultants, and other interested parties.
All consultants have degrees in hospitality management, coursework in
real estate analysis, and appraisal experience. They have performed studies
on hotels and other leisure properties in more than 40 states and on over
1,000 properties. The consultants have more than 50 years of combined
hospitality consulting and hotel experience. The staff includes
David J. Sangree, President; Joseph Pierce, Senior Associate; Laurel Keller,
Associate; Kyle Mossman, Researcher; and Laura Sangree, Business Manager.
The consultants have performed appraisals and feasibility studies on
more than 100 indoor waterpark resorts in the United States and Canada
and have visited nearly all open indoor waterpark resorts.
David Sangree will be a speaker at the World Waterpark Association international
conference in Las Vegas in October, at the International Association of
Amusement Parks and Attractions conference in Atlanta in November, and
at the America's Lodging Investment Conference in Los Angeles in January,
2006, focusing on hotels and indoor waterparks resorts. He has written
numerous articles for, and is frequently quoted in, magazines and newspapers
covering the hospitality and waterpark fields.
David Sangree, President, was the Director of Hospitality Consulting
with US Realty Consultants in Cleveland and Columbus. Previously,
he worked for Pannell Kerr Forster in Chicago, and Westin Hotels in Chicago,
New York, Fort Lauderdale, and Cincinnati. Mr. Sangree received his
Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration
in 1984. He became a certified public accountant in 1989, an MAI
in 1995 and a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants
in 1996.
Since 1987, Mr. Sangree has provided consulting services to banks, hotel
companies, developers, management companies, and other parties involved
in the lodging sector throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Joseph Pierce, Senior Associate, joins H&LA from US Realty Consultants
where he was a hospitality consultant and appraiser. He has a wide
range of experience in operations, accounting, and management in hotels
and resorts including Clarion Hotel Cleveland Airport West; Renaissance
Cleveland Hotel; South Bend Marriott; The Talbott Hotel, Chicago; and Westin
Hotels in Rosemont, Illinois and Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Pierce received
a Master of Business Administration in Hospitality Management from Michigan
State University in 1981 and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from State
University of New York at Brockport in 1978.
Laurel Keller, Associate, joins H&LA from US Realty Consultants
where she was a hospitality consultant and appraiser. Prior to that
Ms. Keller held management positions with Sheraton Airport Hotel and Sheraton
City Center Hotel, Cleveland, Ohio and Avon Oaks Country Club, Avon, Ohio.
Ms. Keller earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from
Purdue University in 1997.
Kyle Mossman, Researcher, investigates various hospitality related topics
for the firm and performs reviews and math checks of reports. His previous
research experience is with US Realty Consultants of Cleveland. He
is obtaining his Masters in Library and Information Science from Kent State
University.
Laura Sangree, Business Manager, holds an MBA from the University of
Chicago and was previously employed by Information Control Corporation,
National Church Residences, and Continental Bank. |
