Hotel Will be Renamed 'Casa Munras, a Larkspur

MADERA, Calif., Nov. 18, 2005 - Larkspur Hospitality, one of the nation's
fastest growing independent hotel companies, announced today that it has
acquired the Casa Munras Garden Hotel in Monterey, California. The
hotel will be renamed "Casa Munras, a Larkspur Hotel" and will become part
of The Larkspur Collection, a group of three and four star independent
hotels.
"The Casa Munras is a unique gem of a hotel and we are extremely pleased

CEO of Larkspur Hospitality. "The hotel has a long, storied history
in the Monterey area, dating back to the early 19th century, and we intend
to restore and highlight its rich history, while adding our signature Larkspur
amenities focusing on guest comfort and productivity. Similar to
our four other Larkspur Collection hotels, the Casa Munras is in a highly
desirable destination for leisure and business travelers seeking a fun
and memorable experience. The Casa Munras significantly broadens
the scope of upscale destination hotels we can offer to our growing base
of Larkspur guests, which now includes 11 Larkspur Landing hotels and our
four Larkspur Collection hotels in Northern California and the Pacific
Northwest."
Located in the heart of Monterey, along California's Central Coast,
Casa Munras features 166 guest rooms, including 46 fireplace rooms.
All guest rooms offer complimentary wireless High-Speed Internet access.
The hotel, surrounded by beautiful gardens, also provides guests with an
outdoor heated pool and patio area. The hotel also offers The Casa
Cafe and Bar, a warm and casual venue for refreshments and gathering.
Casa Munras features six meeting rooms providing almost 5,000 square
feet of meeting and banquet facilities that can accommodate groups of up
to 300 people for a variety of events including wedding receptions and
conferences. All meeting rooms offer a full range of audio visual equipment
and wireless High-Speed Internet connections are available to support all
event needs.
Casa Munras was built around, and incorporates, the original hacienda
of Don Esteban Munras, the last Spanish diplomat to California. The
hotel is a short walk from Fisherman's Wharf and downtown Monterey where
visitors will find a variety of shops, restaurants and the renowned Monterey
Bay Aquarium.
