St. Regis Hotel, Shanghai Named One of the
Best Companies to Work For in China

Shanghai, December 29, 2005 -  St. Regis Hotel, Shanghai was named “Best Companies to Work For – China” in WorkChina™ 2005 survey conducted jointly by Watson Wyatt Consultant Ltd.and Fortune China Magazine.  We were the only hotel in China winning the award under the category of “International Companies”.

There were about 100 companies that had participated in this survey.  Only the top 10 best local companies and the top 10 best International companies were selected for the “Best Companies to Work For” award. The survey covered various criteria related to employee commitment and the enabling factors such as compensation, performance management, and leadership. Based on the results of the survey, it showed that our employees are highly committed to the hotel and clearly understand the company strategy and culture.
