SANTA BARBARA, California, Dec. 16, 2005 - Ty Warner, Founder and CEO
of Ty Warner Hotels and Resorts (TWH&R), has announced the appointment
of Luis Fernandes to the newly-created position of Chief Operating Officer.
The announcement represents Mr. Warner's commitment to engage top-quality
professionals to direct and establish TWH&R as an ultra-luxury hotel
brand. Mr. Fernandes will oversee the management companies that are
responsible for operating the company's hotels and resorts as they continue
to undergo all encompassing renovations and aesthetic improvements.

Prior to assuming his new position, Mr. Fernandes was Managing Director of the internationally heralded resort, Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico, a Rosewood-managed property in the TWH&R collection. With more than 25 years of international hospitality experience, he has served in executive positions with acclaimed hotels and resorts in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Central and South America. As Founder and sole proprietor of Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts, LLC, Mr. Warner continues to focus on acquiring, enhancing and elevating distinctive properties worldwide. Today, the portfolio includes the Four Seasons New York, as well as Santa Barbara-area landmarks, such as Four Seasons Biltmore, Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club; San Ysidro Ranch; Sandpiper Golf Club; Montecito Country Club; Miramar Hotel and San Marcos Golf Club. Big Island-based Kona Village Resort and Las Ventanas al Paraiso Resort complete the current hotel group. |
